READ IT!

WHAT:  The Hangman's Daughter
WHY:     I ordered it for the senior class bookclub and no one checked it out so I did!
WHEN:   Labor Day weekend
WHAT:  It was an interesting read.  The premise was a healer-woman in the 16th century was accused of witchcraft because a boy she was seen with was murdered in a horrific way.  The hangman and the barber (doctor) try to find the real murderer.  It deals with issues of life in the later Middle Ages, the class society among other things.  It moved quickly and was an interesting if gruesome read.
SHOULD I READ IT?  If you like historical novels or even crime dramas.  Yes.  I would recommend it.
SIDE NOTE:  Apparently the author claims to be a descendant of the Hangman!
